Stephanie Padden has been selected as the 2022-2023 Salk Elementary Teacher of the Year!

One of her nominators said: "Stephanie Padden is, by far, the most professional teacher I've ever worked alongside. She is encouraging to her students and the staff, she is fair to all the kids and they respect her for that, and her character is that of loyalty, kindness, love, and truth. One of our teachers is a former Salk student and she is now an incredible young teacher because of Stephanie. She loves to teach, really teach, and the kids love to learn from her."

This is Stephanie's 36th year with Tulsa Public Schools and her 14th at Salk. She teaches 4th grade reading and English language arts.

"I have always loved working with children and finding that lightbulb that goes off and their eyes start to shine when they get their aha moment," said Stephanie. "My favorite part of the job is working with my students and being able to get them to be creative and shine. I love getting to know them all and watch them grow and see what the future brings!
